NST 3rd year students have earned a place on the ICPC Chennai Onsite 2025 final list

A third-year team from RU delivered a standout performance at the ICPC Chennai Regionals, competing against top teams from IITs, NITs, and IIITs across India. Despite being younger than most competitors, the team secured a 22nd rank nationally, placing them ahead of several established institutions. They also ranked 3rd among all private colleges in India, marking a major milestone for the program. The result reflects strong fundamentals in algorithms, consistent practice, and focused mentorship. It’s a powerful signal of what early exposure to competitive programming can achieve.

NST proudly celebrates Akshay Sisodia (NST S-Vyasa) for his exceptional performance in Taekwondo. At the Karnataka State Championship, he won two gold medals, showcasing technical excellence and discipline. He went on to compete at the Singapore International Championship (Daedo Open), securing a Top-5 global rank. Competing at this level demands years of training, mental strength, and consistency. Akshay’s journey reflects commitment beyond academics and brings pride to the entire NST community.

The average monthly stipend stands at ₹23,000, reflecting the value students bring to organizations. These internships span startups and established companies across domains. Six NST students secured Google internships in their first year itself, each earning a stipend of over ₹2.5 lakhs. This outcome wasn’t incidental—it was the result of structured first-year training focused on problem-solving and strong technical fundamentals. Students were evaluated on real-world ability rather than theory alone. Competing alongside senior students nationwide, they proved early preparation makes a measurable difference. It’s a rare achievement that highlights NST’s emphasis on readiness from day one.

The exposure helped students understand how research translates into products used by millions. Beyond observation, the experience offered insights into global execution and innovation culture. It connected classroom learning with real-world impact.

In Singapore, NST students experienced the intersection of global industry and world-class education.

In Singapore, NST students experienced the intersection of global industry and world-class education. They engaged with CXOs and senior leaders from companies such as Graviton, GOJEK, Shell, and Ranosys, gaining firsthand insights into how global tech organizations operate. The visit also included exposure to leading institutions like the National University of Singapore (NUS) and SUTD. The experience broadened students’ understanding of technology, leadership, and innovation. It offered a global perspective rarely available at the undergraduate level.

Ananya represented NST—and India—at the Harvard Project for Asia and International Relations (HPAIR), one of the world’s most prestigious student-led conferences. Hosted at Harvard University, HPAIR brought together student leaders from over 40 countries. Ananya participated in discussions on global leadership, technology, and policy. The experience challenged perspectives and encouraged cross-cultural collaboration. It marked an important milestone in her academic and personal journey.
