Building a UAE-Based Startup’s Product from Scratch

At Newton School of Technology, we believe students shouldn’t wait years to build real-world products. They should start now — and prove what’s possible. That’s exactly what happened with Zuvees, a fast-growing gifting tech startup headquartered in Dubai. When Zuvees needed a full-stack tech solution — backend, frontend, and logistics architecture — they turned to Newton School of Technology students.

Joining Zuvees as a first-year student felt unreal at first. One day we were in class, the next we were building a live product for a company based out of Dubai. I was handling the backend — setting up servers, managing databases, integrating payments. The pressure of which taught me more than any textbook ever could.

2023 Batch

This wasn’t just an internship — we were the company’s first employees. We weren’t told what to build. We had to figure it out, design it, and ship it. I worked on the customer experience — every screen, every click. Knowing that someone in Dubai is placing an order through something I designed? That feeling doesn’t go away.
