Here to revolutionise tech education in India.

We believe in outcomes and skills over degrees and certificates.

A little history.

Founded by Nishant Chandra and Siddharth Maheshwari in 2019, Newton School is an ed-tech platform that is building a futuristic online university to provide a highly immersive and interactive learning path to millions of students and enable them to tap into new-age tech opportunities.

Newton School has placed over 2,500 aspirants in over 800 companies including Google, Target, Epsilon, Jio, Lenskart, Razorpay, Flipkart, Zomato, Deloitte, Meesho and Target in a little over two years.

The Problem.

In India, more than a million college graduates fail to get relevant employment opportunities every year, and yet there are thousands of companies struggling to find talent. Newton School’s learning platform aims to bridge this gap.

Out of the 42,343 colleges that India has as on 2020, 60.56% are in rural areas, and the majority of the remaining colleges are in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This creates a huge gap in career opportunities in the industry for students from these colleges due to the lack of resources, placement help, lack of industry skills, as well as the acute shortage of jobs in the country.

The Solution.

Newton School’s strength lies in offering an extraordinarily relevant and rigorous pedagogy that brings world-class career opportunities to anyone from any part of the country. The organisation plans to rapidly scale up and place 10,000+ students by the end of 2022.

While Newton School is building a neo-university, it is also redirecting education towards a skill-oriented paradigm, wherein leading organisations and startups would be able to hire the right kind of talent in multiple organisational layers. With Newton School’s students already earning a cumulative salary of 100+ crores, Newton School will be able to en-skill and up-skill millions of tech careers and bring the conversation of employability to the podium of the world.

Meet our Founders.

Siddharth Maheshwari

An avid software developer at heart, Siddharth is a passionate entrepreneur with a strong foundation in technology. Siddharth is the co-founder of Newton School - an online learning platform that is bridging the skill gap between graduates and the industry, with an extreme focus on outcomes.

After graduating from IITR in with a B.Tech in Computer Science, Siddharth served as a Software Development Engineer at InMobi, a mobile advertising technology company. It was during this time that the entrepreneur in Siddharth imagined a content discovery social network that analyses user behaviour to detect interest and curates content. This idea was foundational to Siddharth’s first startup – Flicksup.

He then went on to co-found Bolo with Nishant Chandra, a video-based Q&A platform. Under Siddharth’s leadership, Bolo facilitated people who were looking for short-format educational interactions. Over time, Siddharth and Nishant identified a massive skill gap in Indian students and the requirements of the tech industry. This gave birth to Newton School in 2019.

Nishant Chandra

An IIT Roorkee graduate in Production and Industrial Engineering, Nishant Chandra completed his PGDM from IIM Calcutta, following which he served in several Business Analytics positions and consulting jobs at top-tier companies.

With this relentless passion Nishant had for education and contributing to its enhancement, he joined Unacademy in 2017, one of the leading ed-tech companies in India, to serve as their Category Head and then as Product Manager where he extensively worked on the company’s product and growth. This was the first time when Nishant actively explored the depths of building democratic educational models.

After his stint at Unacademy, having experienced the dynamics of ed-tech in India, Nishant co-founded Bolo, a video-based Q&A startup with his friend from IITR Siddharth Maheshwari in 2019. Bolo facilitated video-based answers from experts in various professions regarding any queries the user would have. As Bolo saw the advent of users who were tech professionals or were passionate about getting into the field of technology, Nishant and Siddharth discovered a large gap between the skills of software engineers and the need for skilled professionals by hundreds of companies in the country.
