Newton School provides educational services to learners (“Students”, “You”, or “Your”) and may facilitate career support services (“Services”).

This policy (“Course Cancellation Policy”) sets out the terms and conditions governing requests for cancellation of courses offered by Newton School.

This Policy shall be read in conjunction with the Terms of Service, available at: https://my.newtonschool.co/terms-and-conditions

In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms of Service shall prevail.

By accessing the Website or enrolling in, purchasing, or availing any services offered by Newton School, You acknowledge that:

• You have read and understood this Course Cancellation Policy.
• You agree to be bound by its terms.
• If You do not agree, You must refrain from accessing or availing the Services.

1. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of this Policy:

1.1 Business Days

A day that is not:

• Saturday
• Sunday
• Public holiday
• Bank holiday in India
• Bank holiday in the state where Newton School’s office is located

1.2 Commencement Date

The date on which the course officially begins (i.e., first scheduled class).

In case of batch deferral or transfer:

a) If requested by You:
The Commencement Date remains the date of the first class of the originally allotted batch.

b) If initiated by Newton School:
The revised Commencement Date shall be the date communicated by Newton School at the time of confirming the deferral.

1.3 Enrolment Date

The date on which You complete enrollment into the course by any of the following actions (whichever occurs first):

• Making an advance payment toward the course fee
• Initiating the education loan process and submitting required documents
• Making an advance payment followed by initiating the loan process

1.4 Foreclosure Charges

Any fees, processing charges, interest, or penalties imposed by the NBFC or loan provider during pre-closure of the loan.

1.5 Full Course Fee

The total course fee amount before deductions of scholarships or discounts.

1.6 Loan Disbursement Date

The date on which the lending partner disburses the sanctioned loan amount to Newton School.

1.7 Payment Date

The date on which any portion of the course fee is successfully paid to Newton School through any accepted payment mode.

2. COURSE CANCELLATION REQUEST

2.1 Submission Method

• Cancellation requests must be sent via email to: support@newtonschool.co

• The email must be sent from the learner’s registered email address.

2.2 Acknowledgment

Upon receiving the request, Newton School:

• Will acknowledge the request.
• May request additional documentation or information.

2.3 Validity of Request

The learner must provide all requested details for the cancellation request to be considered valid.

2.4 Response Timeline

Once complete information is received, the concerned team shall contact the learner within:

48 (forty-eight) Business Hours

2.5 Effective Date of Cancellation

The effective date shall be the date on which Newton School receives:

• The complete cancellation request
• All required details and documentation

3. COURSE CANCELLATION RULES

1. Cancellation requests shall be processed only if raised within the applicable cancellation window (see Table-1 below).
2. Where valid, cancellation will be processed after payment of the applicable withdrawal fee.
3. Failure to attend or access services does not automatically entitle the learner to cancellation or refund beyond the applicable window.
4. All cancellations are subject to verification and approval by Newton School.
5. The following charges (if applicable) shall be borne by You and deducted from any refund:
   • Taxes
   • Payment gateway charges
   • Loan foreclosure charges
   • Interest
   • Penalties
   • Charges imposed by lending partner
6. No cancellation request shall be entertained outside the applicable window.
7. Refunds (if applicable) shall be processed only after internal verification and shall be issued to:
   • The original payment source, OR
   • The lending partner (if loan financed)

4. CANCELLATION & EARLY WITHDRAWAL CHARGES (TABLE-1)

5. EFFECT OF CANCELLATIONS

1. All cancellations remain subject to verification and approval.
2. Upon approval, Your future liability for unpaid course fees payable directly to Newton School shall cease.
3. If financed through a loan:
   • Newton School shall notify the lending partner.
   • Any interest, foreclosure costs, or other charges payable to the lending partner shall be borne by You in accordance with the loan agreement.
4. Any amount already paid shall be eligible for refund only after deduction of applicable charges.
5. Refunds shall be processed to the original source account.
   • Newton School may, at its discretion, refund to an alternate account upon written request and supporting documents.
6. Approved refunds shall be processed within: 30 Business Days from approval date
7. This Policy supersedes and replaces all prior cancellation and refund policies issued by Newton School.

6. MODIFICATION

Newton School reserves the right to modify or update this Cancellation Policy from time to time.

The revised policy shall apply to purchases made after the date of publication.

7. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bangalore.
